Emergency Response (HAZMAT)

Accidents involving chemicals and other hazardous materials require fast and accurate measurements as part of the first response. A portable gas analyser provides identification of hazardous substances and reliable estimates of concentration in air in a timeframe of some minutes.
Typical gases that may require measurement during HAZMAT incidents:

  • Carbon monoxide  CO

  • Sulfur dioxide  SO2

  • Nitrogen dioxide  NO2

  • Methane  CH4

  • Formaldehyde  CH2O

  • Toluene  C6H5CH3

  • Ammonia  NH3

  • Hydrogen chloride  HCl

  • Hydrogen fluoride  HF

  • Hydrogen cyanide  HCN

  • Arsine  AsH3

  • Phosgene  COCl2

  • Acrylonitrile  CH2CHCN

  • Ethylene oxide  C2H4O

  • Boron trichloride  BCl3

  • Phosphine  PH3

  • Acrolein  CH2=CHCHO

  • Methylmercaptan  CH3SH

  • Carbon disulfide  CS2

  • Sulfuryl fluoride  SO2F2
